New Colnago G4-X Gravel 2024 price weight colors assemblies everything you need to know
Colnago has unveiled its new gravel racing bike, the G4-X, adding it to its lineup alongside the recently released C68 Gravel.
The G4-X is developed based on the 2019 G3-X model, with some aerodynamic influences taken from the V4R racing bike.
Tire clearance has been increased from 42mm to 45mm, while the bike adopts the CC.01 integrated cockpit from the C68 road bike, highlighting Colnago's research into aerodynamic optimization.
For riders looking for more off-road control, a flared, gravel-specific version of the CC.01 handlebar has been designed, featuring a greater curvature and optimized ergonomics for greater maneuverability and control during descents.
Prices range from €4,330 for two Shimano GRX RX820 setups, up to €8,870 for a SRAM Red eTap AXS XPLR setup.
The weight of the new Colnago G4-X assembled with the Sram Red AXS group is 7.6kg.
Available in three different colors and five sizes.
There are no Campagnolo group options available.
The G4-X is scheduled to be available on June 20, 2024.
The G4-X chassis has seen an increase in tire clearance to 45mm on 700c wheels.
This change reflects cyclists' growing preference for wider tires.
The bike offers three cockpit options, including the CC.01 integrated cockpit, which promises a 16% drag reduction compared to traditional cockpits.
The frame geometry remains essentially the same as the previous model, with some small changes to improve the ride.
The G4-X was also designed for cyclocross, with the increased clearance around the 33mm tires to reduce mud build-up.
The range offers five models, but does not include options with Campagnolo groupsets.
