In many ways, 2026 was a year starved of major innovations; the industry crisis is evident, and sales are stagnant—or nearly so—though no one is willing to say it...

In reality, by continuously hiking prices, the market has corrected itself. Those fancy "showstoppers" are sitting unsold in shops, despite the efforts of the usual "hype-men" decanting their praises...

The fact that the crisis is real and deep is also confirmed by the increasing announcements of discounts on new bikes or dedicated financing plans...

But "there are none so deaf as those who will not hear"...

Financing? To buy a bicycle? Let’s be serious: what sensible head of a family would go into debt to purchase a frivolous item like a bicycle? Yet, we have seen it all by now, even if it doesn't seem like the "debt-to-buy-a-bike" formula is gaining much traction...

For 2027, we can expect many innovations—those originally scheduled for 2026 that were held back while waiting for warehouses to clear.
