- Hairline Cracks and Paint Failures in the Seat Tube Area: Numerous case histories report superficial micro-cracks in the paint or the first carbon layer near the rear shock mount and seat tube junction. While this is often simple paint cracking of the generous glossy layer, some structural failures have required warranty frame replacements, highlighting structural stress points under heavy bottom-outs.
- Crankarm Mounting (The Loctite Issue): Factory assembly defects have been reported regarding the crankarm bolts on the Stereo Hybrid. The application of threadlocker (Loctite) that was too thick or unevenly distributed caused false torque readings on the assembly line torque wrenches.
