If you purchase the bike online or from a large retail chain, before heading out on your first ride, take it to a specialized mechanic to perform a complete re-torque: disassemble, grease, and torque all suspension pivots and crankarms to exact Nm specifications. This single procedure eliminates 80% of the historical issues associated with this model.
