4. Internal Cable Routing Space Management
The Trek Rail adopts a fully guided internal cable routing system, designed to keep the bike's lines clean and quiet.
- Rubbing against the Battery Body: The internal space inside the down tube, shared between the voluminous 750 Wh Bosch battery and the housings (brake, derailleur, and dropper seatpost), is extremely restricted. If the cables are not correctly tensioned and secured at the bottom of the frame, the battery, when inserted sideways, can pinch or rub against them, wearing out the protective housing until the rear hydraulic brake hose is exposed.
