Safety and Technical Management: Auto Hold and Dynamic Overrun
The M40 system integrates features designed to improve safety and progression on the most demanding technical terrains.
Auto Hold Function
Thanks to the accelerometer integrated into the HMI and the torque and speed sensors, the Auto Hold function acts as an electronic motor brake. When the system detects that the bike is stationary on a slope, it locks the pedals, holding the position without the rider needing to engage the brake levers. Upon restarting, the Start-Assist provides an immediate impulse to facilitate balance.
Dynamic Overrun
Dynamic Overrun is designed to overcome obstacles such as rocks or logs during technical climbs. It provides an additional boost when the rider briefly stops pedaling to avoid pedal strikes against the ground. The system is not static; it adapts the residual power based on instantaneous input and speed, ensuring momentum without losing control of the vehicle.
