Clear Values and Excellent Partnerships: The German Brand Presents Its First Mountain Biking Collection. The two product lines, Trail and Free, have been developed in collaboration with premium partners SQlab and Gore-Tex. The partnership with DIMB - Deutsche Initiative Mountainbike - is also underway to integrate MTB into the Safety Academy.
Since 1980, Ortovox has stood for protection in the mountains, both for those who practice alpine activities and for the alpine environment itself. This reputation has been earned not only through high-quality products – Ortovox is considered a specialist in using wool in technical apparel – but also through numerous training initiatives for professionals and enthusiasts.
Starting in Summer 2026, the German brand is venturing into new territory with a collection specifically dedicated to mountain biking. The new Sequence collection represents a further step forward in development for Ortovox and positions the brand in the MTB market, with the ambition of gaining a significant presence.
"The new mountain biking collection represents a milestone for us. In addition to expanding our portfolio, we are also bringing our brand values into a new mountain sport. In this way, Ortovox looks to the future and extends its reach," explains Stefan Kohlbauer, CEO of Ortovox.
The Sequence collection was developed in collaboration with two premium technology partners: SQlab and Gore-Tex. Production adheres to high environmental standards: bluesign® approved products, the absolute renunciation of PFAS use, and a higher percentage of recycled polyester. In this way, Sequence fully reflects the company's ProtACT sustainability strategy.
Tailored for both male and female riders, the Sequence collection combines functionality and responsible production with the dynamism of mountain biking. "From the beginning, our goal was to rethink mountain biking apparel and accessories through our technical know-how, with a sustainable approach and bringing real added value to the community," explains Christian Morgenroth, Ortovox Product Manager for Bike. "The collection is not the final goal, but the beginning of a new journey."
In collaboration with Deutsche Initiative Mountainbike (DIMB), Ortovox will publish a guidebook on specific mountain biking first aid, and the Ortovox Safety Academy, one of the most important training initiatives dedicated to mountain sports, will be further expanded to include the mountain biking sector with first aid courses for the community. Furthermore, the collaboration with DIMB for product promotion and the construction of new trails provides the brand with direct access to the mountain biking scene: national guides will be equipped with necessary gear, and at the same time, projects supporting sustainability and safety will be promoted.

Sweat on your brow, just one more climb, and finally the descent in sight. The Sequence Trail Jersey LS and the matching Sequence Trail Pants have been developed for long days in the MTB saddle. Abrasion-resistant materials, combined with a carefully designed fit, allow great freedom of movement while ensuring optimal support even on the most demanding singletracks. Thanks to anti-odor technology, the comfortable long-sleeve jersey made of 100% T2T recycled polyester ensures a fresh feeling even after the most challenging climbs. The Pants with ventilation holes and MTB-specific functional details help achieve maximum performance during big mountain days.
