Ridley Triton Fast: Price, Technical Data, and Analysis of the New 2026 Triathlon Bike

Ridley has officially marked its entry into the long-distance competition segment with the launch of the Triton Fast. This bicycle was specifically conceived for Long-Course Triathlon in close collaboration with professional athlete Jelle Geens (Ironman 70.3 World Champion), establishing itself as a platform optimized for aerodynamics, integration, and logistical management in races such as the Ironman.

1. Design, Geometry, and Technical Analysis

The aerodynamic development of the Triton Fast was meticulously validated at the Aero Performance Lab in Beringen.

The frameset (frame and fork) has a declared total weight of 1,800 g, positioning it as one of the lighter options in the segment. This reduction in mass, amounting to approximately 325 grams compared to competitors, aims to improve acceleration and energy efficiency—fundamental benefits for prolonged cycling fractions and the subsequent marathon.

Unlike the time trial model (Dean Fast Disc), the Triton Fast adopts a progressive, triathlon-specific geometry. This configuration positions the athlete closer to the bottom bracket, optimizing pedaling efficiency. The fork also integrates a Flip Chip system that allows the rider to precisely adjust steering stability, adapting the bike's behavior to fast or more technical courses.

The cockpit is managed by a mono-riser system designed to offer a high range of adjustments in terms of height, reach, and extension angle. A significant logistical advantage for triathletes is the ability to disassemble the cockpit with only two bolts, facilitating travel and reassembly.

2. Revolutionary Integration: Hydration and Storage

The most technically and functionally relevant aspect is the integration of essential race support systems.

The Triton Fast features an integrated hydration tunnel that runs through the frame. This conduit channels the drinking tube to the handlebar extensions, connecting to an integrated, removable reservoir (volume unspecified) located behind the head tube. This solution allows for continuous hydration without compromising the aerodynamic position.

Furthermore, storage for nutrition, tools, and spares is realized through modular compartments seamlessly integrated into the frame design (modular storage), ensuring that the load does not negatively impact the overall aerodynamic flow.

3. Price and Launch Configurations (2026 Price List)

The Ridley Triton Fast is available in four sizes (XS–L) with 1x13 or 2x12 drivetrain options.

The Frameset (frame and fork) is available at a price of € 3,999. For complete bikes, the official price list on the European market is as follows:

The base configuration with SRAM Rival 2x12 is offered at € 5,459.

The Performance model with SRAM Force XPLR 1x13 is priced at € 7,150.

The Top-of-the-Range version with SRAM Red XPLR 1x13 reaches € 8,699.

4. Commercial Analysis and Warranty

To support the launch, Ridley has introduced targeted incentives. The first 200 buyers will receive a Free Aero Package, which includes a professional wind tunnel session and a bike fit (estimated value of € 2,500).

The "No Aero Gain, No Financial Pain" initiative serves as a performance guarantee: if an existing rider configuration were to prove faster, Ridley will cover the cost of the aerodynamic test. Finally, the frame is covered by a lifetime warranty, also extended to the second owner, subject to the condition of an annual service at an authorized dealer.
