Bergamont VOLUNTARY RECALL OF BERGAMONT GRANDURANCE RD SWEEP EQ BIKES AND FENDERSETS all the infos here

In cooperation with national recall authorities, BERGAMONT Fahrrad Vertrieb GmbH is voluntarily issuing a recall on Bergamont Grandurance RD and Sweep EQ bicycles from the model years 2020, 2021 and 2022 collections.

BERGAMONT is conducting this recall because the L-shaped bracket that attaches the front fender to the fork crown can break. As a result, the front fender can detach. This failure may cause the rider to immediately lose control over the bicycle, resulting in bodily injuries.

The recall affects the following BERGAMONT Grandurance RD and Sweep EQ bike models and fendersets:

The bikes and fender sets mentioned above have been sold in retail and online stores in Europe, Russia and India from June 2019 to present date. The recall does not affect bikes sold in the US, Canadian or Australian markets.

Consumers in possession of a recalled BERGAMONT Grandurance RD or Sweep EQ bike or the mentioned fender set are requested to immediately stop riding the bicycle and take it to an authorized BERGAMONT dealer where a new fender bracket will be installed at no cost. After that, the bike can be ridden safely again.

In total, more than 10’000 bikes are affected by this recall.
