Felt NEXAR 2026: The New Definition of Integrated Speed

The aero bike sector never rests. Just when it seems every watt has been squeezed out of truncated profiles and hidden cables, a new benchmark arrives. Felt Bicycle breaks the silence of its 35th anniversary by presenting the NEXAR, the heir to the legendary AR platform, designed to be faster, lighter, and, above all, more rideable.

The name, a contraction of "Next AR," is not just a tribute to the past but a total reset. Under new ownership based in Barcelona, Felt is launching a direct challenge to market giants with a machine that hits record-breaking numbers for the category.

Felt NEXAR FRD: The 6,480-Gram Record

The flagship of the range, the NEXAR FRD, claims a weight of just 6,480 grams in size 54. This is an impressive figure for a disc-brake aero bike with fully integrated cabling.

    FRD Frame: Crafted with Felt's premium 12K carbon layup, the frame weighs a mere 800 grams.

    Aerodynamics: According to wind tunnel tests, the NEXAR is 5% faster than the previous AR, positioning itself within a margin of just 4 watts compared to the fastest aero bike currently on the market at 40 km/h.

    Integration: The carbon monocoque cockpit weighs less than 300 grams, optimizing airflow around the head tube area, which is now visibly slimmer.

Realistic Geometry and Modern Comfort

Felt has listened to the market: the NEXAR moves away from extreme "circus" riding positions. The new geometry features a slightly higher stack and a shorter reach, paired with a more vertical seat tube and a zero-offset seatpost.

This design choice allows more riders to maintain a sustainable aerodynamic position for hours. Furthermore, tire clearance has been updated to accommodate up to 32 mm tires, the essential 2026 standard for combining speed with vibration damping.
