Test and FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Why do I get cramps even though I drink a lot? It is often the excess of "plain" water that causes the problem. Without the correct sodium intake, the muscle loses its ability to conduct electrical impulses properly.
Does a pre-race banana help? It provides carbohydrates and some potassium, but it is not sufficient to prevent cramps from extreme exertion or intense heat.
Can I use table salt? Yes, a pinch of salt (approx. 1-2 grams) in your bottle with a bit of fruit juice is an excellent, cost-effective alternative to commercial supplements.
