There is news from the premium gravel segment of the STORCK Bicycle product range: The popular GRIX trumps for the upcoming season with the GRIX.2. STORCK has taken its time with the next model, which has been renewed in many regards, for good reason, as the established GRIX has already been successfullyholding its own in the competition of the best gravel bikes for more than two years. The GRIX.2 perfects riding performance in a new price class and complements its predecessor.
Like the GRIX, the GRIX.2 is very sporty due to its short head tube and steep steering angle and is therefore also convincing in cross use. A new feature is the progressive edged frame design, which gives the bike a modern look. The evolution of the GRIX also includes the visually appealing system integration with completely internally routed cables, which was further developed on the basis of the aerodynamic handlebar stem unit of the top racing bike model Aerfast3 and integrated into the new GRIX.2 design. The model is also characterized by a light frame weight from 900 grams with using highest quality carbon fibers.
The GRIX proven lowered chainstay prevents the chain from hitting in rough terrain and is also found in the design of the GRIX.2. The design is reinterpreted with the extraordinary color "Vulcanic Sunset" on the GRIX.2. The broad orange color gradient, which changes into a satiny wine red, shows a flip effect with violet-brown facets depending on the light angle. Thus, the bike blends with the fall-golden environment or offers a contrast to the winter-foggy landscape or blooming spring nature.
The new Gravelbike also offers more options for fans of bikepacking. For long bike trips, the GRIX.2 provides a wide range of compatibility for accessories with even more connection points for bags, load carriers or water bottles. STORCKpartners up with ClassifiedAnother highlight is hidden behind the gearshift: the powerful Classified Powershift is integrated into the rear hub and replaces the function of the front derailleur.
The system enables instant gear changes -equivalent to the front chainring -at full power within 150 milliseconds with uncompromising gear ratio and gear jump. The GRIX.2 is the first bike resulting from the new partnership between STORCK and Classified. The opinion of General Manager and bike Guru Markus Storck is all positive: "For me, Classified's Powershift hub represents the next technological step in shiftingsystemsbecause it combines advantages in terms of weight, maintenance and shifting precision. In the sporty sector, Powershift sets a new standard especially for shifting at full power. Instant shifting makes it possible to keep up speed even during abrupt changes of surface or gradient on off-road terrain, and to give an outstanding riding experience.
Additionally, by using hub gears and eliminating the front derailleur in combination with our new integrated frameset, we reduce wind resistance to keep you ridingfast even when graveling." Classified's innovative products are designed and producedin Belgium. First-class Classified carbon wheelsets are specially matched to the Powershift hub and are also installed on the new GRIX.2.
The efficient and low-maintenance groupset evokes top performance in practical use. In addition to the instant shifting, other advantages are obvious: no chain jumping off and no blocking by mud or foreign objects with the gear protected in the hub. The Classified Powershift system is combined onthe GRIX.2 with the gravel-specific SRAM Force XPLR. Other equipment variants are also offered and are available from an entry-level price of € 4,199
