Scott Ransom 920 2025: test review, pros, cons, opinions, everything you need to know, Scott Ransom 920 2025 weight, Scott Ransom 920 2025 price, Scott Ransom 920 2025 test

Construction Quality

The Scott Ransom 920 2025 has excellent construction quality and is ultimately priced lower than other competitors, compared to which it is equally well-made, even if the price is high in absolute terms. The wide availability of builds is worth noting. The general construction quality is therefore good. The availability of sizes is also good. Only the range of colors is limited.

Frame

The frame has excellent construction quality. There are no criticisms to be made, and the availability of sizes is also excellent. Like other products with high travel, it is a frame intended mainly for downhill, with a relatively high weight, but in line with competitors. The Scott Ransom 920 2025 version has a weight of 16.5kg and a price of about 6000 euros.

Builds

The range of builds is very complete, with prices for every "pocket." The construction and assembly quality, in every version, is high, but clearly, between the top-of-the-range and entry-level versions, there is an abyss in terms of performance, but also in price.

Comfort

Very good, one of the best full-suspension MTBs in this regard. On the other hand, it's impossible to do more. In this aspect, it's one of the best MTBs overall.

Handling

The Scott Ransom 920 2025 is an MTB that prefers downhill, but it still remains an MTB with which it is pleasant to pedal. It's a manageable bike, but not difficult to ride. On pedaled sections, it's easy to handle, remaining intuitive and safe, never demanding, but you can feel the overall weight. On climbs, the good work of the rear suspension emerges, which allows for valid traction, although the overall weight inevitably limits performance. However, the traction offered by the rear wheel is excellent.

On descents, it's an excellent MTB: manageable, fast, safe. This is its preferred terrain where it highlights top-level performance; it's difficult to wish for anything better. It never puts you in difficulty, despite being very fast. Even at high speeds, it is always safe and easy to ride. Obviously, to obtain high performance on descents, experience and riding skill are always necessary. The braking is excellent, and the suspensions are excellent.

Performance

The competitive weight, the excellent frame, the geometries, and the suspensions lead to very competitive overall performance on every type of route. It's an MTB that defends itself well on climbs and expresses high potential on descents. It doesn't have a true weak point; it's always a high-performance MTB, but it gives its best on descents. In other areas, it defends itself well, but it defends itself. On the toughest climbs, you may feel the weight, but only in comparison with MTBs with less travel. It's a high-performance MTB, perfect for those who ride fast downhill.

Pros and Cons

The Scott Ransom 920 2025 is an excellent MTB with a well-tuned and competitive frame. Its flaw is not the construction quality or performance, but the fact that it is only truly competitive on descents. It's not a versatile MTB, but it's at the top on descents.
