Scott Addict 10 Sram Force AXS 2026: Test Ride and Review - Pros, Cons, Problems, Performance, and Everything You Need to Know
Build Quality
The Scott Addict 10 is a road bike with excellent overall quality. At around €6,600 for the model we tested, it's not a budget bike, but it offers good value for the price. Both the frame and the overall assembly are well-made and are in line with its price point.
Frame
The frame is a solid component, balancing weight, stiffness, aerodynamics, and ride comfort. The range of sizes and the overall quality of the frame are good. It's a great product, but it's worth noting that maintenance can be challenging, as is the case with all road bikes that have fully internal cable routing.
Assembly
The Scott Addict 10 version is equipped with the SRAM Force AXS groupset, which is a solid choice. This places the bike in the mid-to-high range. The test bike weighed in at about 7.8 kg, which isn't particularly light for a road bike, even an endurance one, but it's comparable to its competitors.
Comfort
The Scott Addict 10 Sram Force AXS 2026 is one of the most comfortable endurance road bikes available. While it's not the absolute best in terms of comfort, it's very close to the top, even though it weighs and costs significantly less than some of its rivals. It performs well on smooth roads, is very good on rougher surfaces, and still handles very poorly paved sections with decent comfort. It would be difficult to ask for more comfort from a frame that offers this level of performance.
Handling
The Scott Addict 10 Sram Force AXS 2026 is a very secure and stable endurance road bike, yet it remains responsive and quick to react to rider input. It's a fast and precise bike on long, winding descents and is not particularly sensitive to crosswinds. Stability at high speeds is excellent, as is the braking performance. The bike is easy to control on rough asphalt and at high speeds. While some frames might be more stable and secure, they are often less agile and responsive. Overall, for a bike designed for endurance, its handling is easy, safe, and, most importantly, very competitive.
Performance
The Scott Addict 10 Sram Force AXS 2026 offers good overall performance, though its weight is a clear disadvantage compared to a lighter road bike. However, when compared to other endurance bikes, its performance is excellent. Overall, it's an endurance road bike with competitive performance on any terrain, relative to its weight and frame type.
It doesn't have a real weak point and performs well everywhere, but it truly excels on flats and descents. The extra weight is noticeable on climbs, but on descents, the bike is very difficult to beat. In summary, it has excellent performance on flats, good performance on rolling hills, and sufficient performance on climbs, with outstanding performance on descents. It is a versatile endurance road bike, though it's best to avoid truly difficult climbs.
When compared to competitors with similar build quality and weight, its frame stands out for its excellent stiffness—it's certainly one of the best in the endurance category.
Pros and Cons
The Scott Addict 10 Sram Force AXS 2026 is an excellent endurance road bike with a good quality-to-price ratio. Its main strength is that it has no real weaknesses; it performs well everywhere. The build quality is also a major plus. The only real drawback is its weight, which is not particularly low.
