Pinarello Grevil F9 SRAM Red XPLR AXS 2025 Test Review Build Quality
The Pinarello Grevil F9 SRAM Red XPLR AXS 2025 has excellent overall build quality. The price is high, around €11,000, the frame is well-made, and there is a good range of sizes.
The quality of the components used is excellent, but it's a shame that it weighs a lot, around 8.1 kg.
Despite being an expensive bike, the quality/price ratio is good, but it's certainly not a bargain, and it weighs a lot for the price.
Pinarello Grevil F9 SRAM Red XPLR AXS 2025 Test Review Frame
The Pinarello Grevil F9 SRAM Red XPLR AXS 2025 frame is an excellent product, well-made, and with excellent overall build quality.
The frame weight is not particularly high.
The price-to-weight ratio remains decent, but we're still at 8.1 kg, which is certainly not a small amount for an €11,000 bike.
The quality-price ratio remains decent, but nothing more.
Pinarello Grevil F9 Sram Red XPLR AXS 2025 test review Assemblies
The range of assemblies is comprehensive, nothing is missing, all at very high prices, but everyone can choose the groupset and assembly they like best.
The build quality and assembly, in every version, is excellent, but the weight increases exponentially.
The entry-level version is still well made, but heavy.
Pinarello Grevil F9 Sram Red XPLR AXS 2025 Test Review Comfort
Despite not adopting any particular technical solutions, the ride comfort of the Pinarello Grevil F9 Sram Red XPLR AXS 2025 is high and not far behind what are supposedly better gravel bikes.
Overall, the ride comfort of the Pinarello Grevil F9 Sram Red XPLR AXS 2025 is good and allows it to be considered among the best bikes in its category, no different from the more expensive Dogma GR.
Long rides are therefore feasible.
Pinarello Grevil F9 Sram Red XPLR AXS 2025 Test Review Ride
The Pinarello Grevil F9 Sram Red XPLR AXS 2025 fully reflects the riding style of other Pinarello bikes: a bike with pedals.
A gravel bike with impeccable stability, whether at high speeds, on rough asphalt, or off-road.
Once cornering, it follows its trajectory like a train on rails.
It never falters, even in crosswinds.
It offers almost zero steering effort and absolute safety.
It's clearly not the best bike for handling.
But it's still very enjoyable to ride on winding roads, precisely because of its high steering precision.
Off-road, the characteristics remain the same: a precise, safe, easy-to-ride gravel bike that's never dangerous.
It's not suited to technical off-road riding, but on fast terrain, it's a perfect, or nearly perfect, gravel bike.
The Pinarello Grevil F9 Sram Red XPLR AXS 2025 is the easiest and safest gravel road bike to ride.
Pinarello Grevil F9 Sram Red XPLR AXS 2025 test review Performance
The new frame of the Pinarello Grevil F9 Sram Red XPLR AXS 2025 demonstrates excellent stiffness and responsiveness, but the overall weight of the bike clearly "clouds" its overall performance, which nevertheless remains in line with the best competitors in the category.
The Pinarello Grevil F9 Sram Red XPLR AXS 2025 has no weaknesses; it performs well everywhere except uphill, where its weight is clearly felt.
But it's on downhills that the Pinarello Grevil F9 Sram Red XPLR AXS 2025 is excellent in absolute terms: precise, safe, with benchmark stability, it rides on a track...
Equally excellent are the performances on very rough asphalt and fast off-road sections, offering fast, safe, and comfortable riding.
In its category and with similar technical features, it's competitive, in line with its main competitors.
It's not overwhelming, it's not faster, but it's an alternative to the usual names.
A competitive gravel bike nonetheless.
Pinarello Grevil F9 SRAM Red XPLR AXS 2025 test review Strengths and weaknesses
The Pinarello Grevil F9 SRAM Red XPLR AXS 2025 has proven to be a very competitive, comfortable, and high-performance gravel racing bike.
It's good and competitive on any trail, but it really shines on downhills and on fast off-road sections, on hard, compact surfaces.
It's weak point is the tough climbs.
It's expensive, perhaps even too expensive for what it actually offers.
Other competitors are just as good and cost less.
Ultimately, a Pinarello Grevil F9 is a valid gravel bike, expensive and heavy, but still competitive.
