All new Ibis Ripley AF 2025 2026: Accessible Aluminum Trail Performance

Ibis has released aluminum versions of its latest carbon fiber Ripley trail bikes. These AF (aluminum-framed) models mirror the travel, geometry, features, and aesthetic design of their carbon counterparts, providing a more cost-effective option. The updates previously introduced on the carbon Ripley, including a straighter top tube and in-frame storage, are now integrated into the aluminum-framed versions, ensuring consistent performance at a more accessible price point.

Ibis Ripley AF Technical Specifications

The Ripley AF features a straight top tube and incorporates the Ibis STOW in-frame storage compartment, which includes two bags. The model offers 130mm of DW-link rear suspension travel, paired with a 140mm front fork. It is available in five frame sizes (S-XL), with size-specific componentry.

Unlike the Ripmo AF, all sizes of the Ripley AF are equipped with 29-inch wheels both front and rear. A flip chip is included, allowing for conversion to a mixed-wheel configuration if desired. The geometry chart of the Ripley AF is identical to that of the carbon model, maintaining its established performance characteristics.

Deore Build: Starting at $3,499

Eagle 90 Transmission Build: Priced at $3,999

The primary difference between these two options appears to be the drivetrain. For reference, the most affordable carbon Ripley build (Eagle 90) is priced at $6,249, although that model includes Fox Factory suspension.
