E-Bike Haibike ALLTRAIL 2026: Test, Review, Pros, Cons, Performance, and Detailed Opinions

The Haibike ALLTRAIL 2026 is positioned as an entry- to mid-range full-suspension E-MTB (Full Suspension), designed to balance comfort and capability on non-extreme trail routes. The series features a new aluminum frame, optimized kinematics, and the integration of the powerful Bosch Performance Line CX motor.

Haibike ALLTRAIL 2026: Build Quality and Frame

The ALLTRAIL 2026 series features a robust aluminum frame certified for a maximum total permissible weight of 150 kg. The frame introduces new suspension kinematics with a standardized travel of 130 mm both front and rear, classifying the bike for trail/touring use. A key design element is the modern, new position of the shock absorber (semi-integrated).

The wheel setup is Mullet, combining a 29-inch front wheel for better rolling and obstacle negotiation, with a 27.5-inch rear wheel for enhanced agility, traction, and responsiveness.

Haibike ALLTRAIL 2026: Assemblies and Componentry

Assemblies are selected for reliability within the price segment:

Motor and Battery: Core models (ALLTRAIL 4 and 6) feature the latest generation Bosch Performance Line CX motor, providing high torque (up to 85 Nm or 100 Nm) for excellent climbing performance. Battery capacity varies: 600 Wh for the ALLTRAIL 4 and 800 Wh for the ALLTRAIL 6 (removable). An optional Range Extender (approx. 250 Wh) is available.

Suspension: The 130 mm travel is managed by quality units (e.g., RockShox or SR Suntour), suitable for trail use.

Brakes: Mid- to high-end versions feature four-piston hydraulic disc brakes (e.g., Shimano or TRP) for reliable stopping power. The ALLTRAIL 10.5 ABS model integrates an eBike ABS system.

Other: A dropper seatpost is standard on most models.

Haibike ALLTRAIL 2026: Comfort and Handling

Comfort

The comfort is positively influenced by the 130 mm full-suspension system and its optimized kinematics, which effectively absorb trail bumps.

Handling

The geometry is tailored for Trail Riding. The Mullet configuration provides balanced handling: high speed on the climb due to the high-torque Bosch CX motor and good stability on the descent thanks to the 29-inch front wheel. It offers intuitive handling suitable for fast touring and moderately technical trails, though it is not designed for aggressive Enduro use.

Haibike ALLTRAIL 2026: Performance and Autonomy

Performance

Performance is suited for alpine touring and fast trail riding. The high torque makes for fast climbs. The bike is fast in ascent thanks to the high torque and sufficiently stable on the descent for fast touring or moderate trail use.

Autonomy

Autonomy is a strong point, especially with the 800 Wh battery (ALLTRAIL 6), which is suitable for extended full-day excursions. The 600 Wh battery (ALLTRAIL 4) is adequate for standard rides.

Haibike ALLTRAIL 2026: Pros and Cons

The key pros include its versatility (touring and trail), the powerful and reactive Bosch CX motor, the high autonomy option (800 Wh), and the Mullet setup for balanced handling. The main cons are the high weight (typical of E-MTBs with large batteries), the limited travel (130 mm is insufficient for extreme Enduro), and the fact that lower-end models' suspensions may limit performance during very aggressive use.

Haibike ALLTRAIL 2026: Advice and Alternatives

Advice: For long mountain rides, the ALLTRAIL 6 (800 Wh) is recommended. Due to the high-quality system, a professional suspension service schedule should be adhered to.

Alternatives: Direct competitors in the Bosch E-MTB full-suspension trail/touring segment include the Cube Stereo Hybrid 120 / 140 (similar travel and Bosch motor) and the Giant Stance E+ / Explore E+ (often Yamaha motor, focused on touring).
