Giant Anthem 2026 Official: World Champion XC Bike Unveiled with the "Hidden Technology" Advanced SL

The new Anthem and Anthem X use unique proprietary construction methods that make them as fast as possible. One model has already won Gold at the XCO World Championships.

November 12, 2025

The new Giant Anthem Advanced SL has already won Gold at the UCI XCO World Championships, and we were present at the official bike launch in Taiwan to reveal all the key details about this very fast race machine and the new Anthem X trail bike.

The Giant Anthem Advanced SL and its slightly longer-travel version, the Anthem X Advanced SL, feature a completely new chassis compared to the outgoing model, with a revised FlexPoint Pro suspension system, increased travel, and modern geometry.

The Two Models: Race and Fast Trail

Giant Anthem Advanced SL (XC Race): Featuring 120 mm of travel both front and rear, it reflects the trend of XC racing on increasingly technical tracks.

Giant Anthem X Advanced SL (Fast Trail/Downcountry): Featuring 120 mm at the rear, paired with a 130 mm fork at the front. Giant states that this model could be the "savior" of non-assisted trail bikes, ideal for those seeking efficiency and speed.

The Hidden Technology: Advanced SL Construction

The frame is the true core of the innovation, benefiting from advancements in Advanced SL construction technology, a proprietary process that Giant reserves only for these two models.

Giant is one of the few brands that internally weave its own carbon fiber sheets. The approximately 700 carbon sheets are cold-cut by robots, a method that ensures a more precise cut and reduces overlap, drastically decreasing weight and improving ride feel.

Furthermore, instead of using inflatable bladders for internal pressure, the Anthem utilizes a more rigid internal mold. This not only makes the inside of the tubes as smooth and sculpted as the exterior, improving stiffness, but also allows for the creation of the front triangle as a single piece.

FlexPoint Pro Suspension: Dampening Without Lateral Flex

Despite being a flex-stay single-pivot system, the innovation is in the details:

Hidden Shock: The shock is nested in the top tube, made possible by the Advanced SL construction, which allowed the cavity to be created without losing stiffness.

Controlled Flex: Giant claims that the undesirable lateral flex of the seatstays is eight times less than that of its leading competitor's frame. By removing lateral forces, the shock is more sensitive, effective, and easier to set up.

Custom Tuning: Giant has worked closely with Fox and RockShox to optimize the shocks, such as increasing the air spring volume on the Float SL shock.

Details, Geometry, and Prices in Euro

Down-Tube Storage (Anthem X Only): The Anthem X includes a practical integrated down-tube storage compartment, lined with foam to prevent rattling.

Adjustable Geometry: The geometry is modern, featuring a Flip Chip that allows switching between High and Low settings, varying the head and seat tube angles by 0.5 degrees and the reach by 5 mm.

Regarding the configurations available in Europe, the prices are as follows (prices may vary depending on the country and specifications):

Giant Anthem Advanced SL (XC Race) - Prices in Euro

The Anthem Advanced SL 3 model, the entry-level build with Fox Performance suspension and Shimano Deore shifting, has a retail price in Europe of approximately €4,500.

The Anthem Advanced SL SE model, the top-of-the-range, is equipped with RockShox Flight Attendant electronic suspension and SRAM XX SL Transmission. Its price in Europe ranges between €12,500 and €14,000.

Giant Anthem X Advanced SL (Fast Trail) - Prices in Euro

The Anthem X Advanced SL is also available in top-end builds, such as the model 0, equipped with Fox Factory-level suspension and a full Shimano XTR Di2 groupset. Prices for complete builds start from €5,000 and reach approximately €11,000 for the most exclusive configurations.

High-Level Components: Both bikes feature the new Cadex XCR (carbon) or XCA (alloy) wheels, with wide anti-pinch walls, and a new integrated cockpit (bar/stem) at 780 mm wide for maximum handling.
