Eddy Merckx Launches Titanium Versions of Corsa Pévèle and Strasbourg

Technical analysis of the new Eddy Merckx Corsa Pévèle Ti and Strasbourg Ti. Featuring Columbus titanium frames, 1x and 2x groupsets, and indicative European pricing.

Eddy Merckx Titanium: Expansion of the Corsa Range

The Belgian brand Eddy Merckx has announced the extension of its Corsa range with the introduction of two new frames crafted from titanium. This project marks the brand’s entry into the high-performance noble materials segment, sitting alongside existing steel and aluminum options. The two models selected for this evolution are the Corsa Pévèle, dedicated to the all-road segment, and the Corsa Strasbourg, focused on competitive gravel and bikepacking.
Construction Features and Materials

Both models utilize Columbus Hyperion titanium tubing. The frame production is entrusted to skilled artisans in Italy, while final assembly takes place at the brand’s facilities in Belgium.

From a technical standpoint, the new Ti versions feature:

3D-Printed UDH Dropouts: These allow for the integration of latest-generation drivetrains, including SRAM T-Type systems.

Dynamo Cable Routing: Both frames integrate internal routing for dynamo-powered lighting systems.

Customization: Through the online configurator, users can choose the colors for logos and accents on the head tube and down tube, which can be color-matched with Wolf Tooth components.

Eddy Merckx Corsa Pévèle Ti: The All-Road Approach

The Corsa Pévèle Ti is designed to offer a balance between stability and responsiveness. Compared to classic road geometries, it features a slightly lower bottom bracket to lower the center of gravity and increase rider control.

Drivetrain and Tires: Available in 1x or 2x configurations. With a double chainring (2x), tire clearance is 38 mm, while the 1x setup allows for tires up to 40 mm.

Build Kits: Eight different builds are available, including groupsets from Shimano (Ultegra and Dura-Ace Di2), SRAM (Force and Red AXS/XPLR), and Campagnolo (Super Record and Super Record X).

Eddy Merckx Corsa Strasbourg Ti: Gravel and Adventure

The Corsa Strasbourg Ti is geared toward more technical terrain and demanding off-road use. Its geometry is characterized by a longer wheelbase and a lower rider position to improve handling on rough descents and singletrack sections.

Load Capacity and Tires: The frame offers tire clearance for up to 50 mm. There are numerous mounting points on the frame and fork for bags and accessories, as well as dedicated mudguard mounts.

Configurations: It is primarily offered as a frame-and-fork kit or with 1x gravel-specific drivetrains (SRAM Force XPLR, Red XPLR, or Campagnolo Super Record X).

Indicative Pricing and Market Positioning

While Eddy Merckx is a brand known for the affordability of its steel and aluminum versions, the new titanium models are positioned in a higher price bracket (Premium segment).

Based on the price list and configurations selected via the official configurator, indicative prices for the European market are as follows:

Frame and Fork Kit: Starting from approximately €3,200.

Complete Bicycle (Corsa Pévèle Ti / Strasbourg Ti): Prices start at approximately €5,800 for base builds (SRAM Force) and can exceed €9,500 for top-tier versions equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 or Campagnolo Super Record X.
