Colnago C68 Road 2026: New Liveries, Technical Specs, and Pricing for the Made in Italy Carbon Frame

Colnago is updating its flagship model, the C68 Road, with the introduction of two exclusive new liveries. These finishes celebrate the elegance and craftsmanship of the Italian brand. The new colors, named HSBL and HSWH, maintain the technical characteristics and performance of one of the most iconic and technologically advanced carbon frames on the market. With the C68, Colnago channeled its history, passion, and technology to create a bike that truly represents the brand's essence.

The New Liveries: HSBL and HSWH

The two new finishes stand out for their marbled design and attention to detail, which enhance the frame's shapes and lines:

HSBL: A blue marbled paint with silver details that gives it a sophisticated and modern look. The "marble" effect underscores the exclusive and handcrafted nature of the frame.

HSWH: A marbled color that shifts between white and light blue, enriched with black accents. This livery offers a clean and elegant aesthetic that perfectly suits the brand's minimalist and refined design philosophy.

The C68's Architecture: Tube-and-Lug Construction

The Colnago C68 stands out in the carbon bike landscape for its unique architecture. Unlike monocoque frames, the C68 is built with a tube-and-lug system, a technique that merges Colnago's traditional construction methods with the advantages of carbon fiber. This construction allows for precise control over the frame's geometry and offers the possibility of producing custom-sized versions. Each lug is handmade in Italy, a process that guarantees not only exceptional build quality but also an artisanal identity that few brands can claim.

C68 Road Frame Technical Specifications

The C68 frame is the result of sophisticated engineering and meticulous attention to technical details:

Material: High-modulus carbon fiber.

Bottom Bracket: T47 standard, chosen for its reliability and ease of maintenance.

Headset: Equipped with CeramicSpeed SLT bearings with Solid Lubrication Technology, which ensures greater durability and reduces the need for maintenance.

Cable Routing: Fully internal for a clean aesthetic and improved aerodynamic efficiency.

Geometry: Performance-oriented, designed for maximum responsiveness and precise handling.

Brakes: Flat-mount disc brake system for powerful, modulated braking in all conditions.

Weight: The frame's weight is extremely competitive for its category, contributing to the bike's overall lightness.

Tire Clearance: The frame is optimized for wide tires, allowing for up to 32 mm tires for added comfort and versatility.

Builds, Pricing, and Market Positioning

The Colnago C68 Road is offered with several top-tier build options, reflecting its premium positioning. Common configurations include electronic groupsets like Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, SRAM Red AXS, and Campagnolo Super Record Wireless.

The price of the C68 Road varies depending on the build and is located in the highest segment of the market. Pricing is generally available upon request and can easily exceed 15,000 euros for top-tier configurations. This makes it a choice for the most demanding cyclists and collectors who seek an exclusive riding experience and a piece of modern cycling history.
