Cervelo Aspero 5 SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 test review Build quality

The Cervelo Aspero 5 SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 has a fairly high cost, the racing bike is well made, the frame very well made, but ultimately the quality-price ratio is sufficient.

There are no refined technical details, even if everything is well made.

The weight of the assembled bike is not very low, about 8.2kg.

The availability of sizes is very good, as is that of the assemblies, but a real top-of-the-range version is missing.

Cervelo Aspero 5 SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 test review Frame

The Cervelo Aspero 5 SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 has a well-made frame, available in many sizes and various assemblies.

Well made, but without any particular technical solutions, the weight of the assembled bike SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 is 8.2Kg.

The weight is one of its defects, along with the fairly high price.

Cervelo Aspero 5 SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 test review Assemblies

The range of assemblies is complete, you certainly can't complain.

The general quality is good, but the prices are always slightly high, as is the weight.

However, there is not a big difference with the main competitors.

Furthermore, the well-made frame and the wide range of sizes are a plus to take into account.

Cervelo Aspero 5 SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 test review Comfort

The ride comfort is high, although not absolutely excellent.

A good compromise between frame rigidity and ride comfort, even if it remains a gravel bike for roads with compact and fast surfaces.

For a trained athlete accustomed to rigid frames it is undoubtedly a comfortable bike, a simple cycle tourist could find it uncomfortable.

Ultimately it is in line with the main competitors and sometimes better.

Cervelo Aspero 5 SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 test review Guide

The Cervelo Aspero 5 SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 is a very easy to handle gravel bike, easy and fast to enter curves.

It does not have heavy steering, always light, never imprecise, but you need to keep the handlebars firmly in place at high speeds.

Excellent braking.

Not at all sensitive to side winds.

Very easy to ride on paths full of curves, as well as on long and narrow mountain descents.

To get the most out of it, you need a little experience, but it's a very competitive frame, with a real racing ride, very responsive and fast.

Off-road it's very fast on hard and compact surfaces, where you can make the gravel bike run fast.

Just a little more difficult on the more technical off-road, where a suspended gravel bike is better.

Cervelo Aspero 5 SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 test review Performance

The relatively high weight slightly limits the overall performance of an otherwise excellent frame.

It's a shame that an assembly with the Sram Red Axs is not available.

The frame is very stiff and has excellent overall performance.

On hilly routes, full of small climbs and short descents, full of curves, it really gives its best and offers very competitive performance.

Equally competitive are the performances in descents and on fast off-road routes.

On the other hand, the performance on the flat is good, while its only limit is the really hard climbs where you feel the overall weight of the bike.

It has its flaws, but overall it is a competitive frame, especially on certain routes.

A good compromise.

Ultimately it only loses on the really hard climbs and on the most technical and difficult off-road.

Cervelo Aspero 5 SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 test review Strengths and weaknesses

The Cervelo Aspero 5 SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 is a very good gravel bike, not cheap and not light.

A competitive bike on the flat, hills and downhill, it does less well on hard climbs and technical off-road.

Decent ride comfort and good ride qualities.

The prices are slightly high, as is the weight, but the overall quality is good.

Like all compromises, it either excites or disappoints.

The Cervelo Aspero 5 SRAM Force XPLR AXS 2025 is a competitive and versatile gravel bike, the route you take, then, decrees its real competitiveness or not.
