New Cannondale Synapse Neo - Cannondale Synapse Neo Allroad 2024 prices weights technical data sheet complete review of the new Cannondale Synapse Neo 2024 range
Cannondale has updated its Synapse Neo electric road bike, adding a lighter and more powerful Bosch motor and switching to a carbon frame.
The brand says the Synapse Neo, based on the Synapse endurance bike, combines "low weight and superlative performance."
As a result, the Synapse Neo now uses the Bosch Performance Line SX motor unit, which is said to be the brand's lightest electric bike motor.
Bosch says the mid-drive Performance Line SX provides up to 600 watts of assistance and 55 Nm of torque while weighing just 2kg.
This claimed weight includes a 400Wh battery, housed in the downtube.
The range extender battery connects to the bottle cage mounts on the downtube.
In compliance with electric bicycle laws, the Performance Line SX helps up to 25 km/h in Europe and 28 mph in the United States.
The previous generation electric bike used a 3.2kg drive unit with a 250W motor.
Cannondale says the Synapse Neo will help riders go further and faster on the road, while the Synapse Neo Allroad will allow for longer adventures off the beaten path.
Both versions come with a kickstand, as well as mounts for mudguards and a rear rack.
