Rotor Uno Wireless Groupset 2026: Technical Details, Specs, and Compatibility

Rotor presents its new Uno Wireless drivetrain, a completely cable-free electronic system developed in collaboration with Wheeltop. This group is designed for MTB and gravel use, combining optimized Wheeltop components with Rotor's proprietary technology to offer a modular and versatile solution.

Key Components and Features

The Rotor Uno Wireless group is designed to be a flexible system, allowing riders to choose their ideal setup. It’s compatible with 10- to 13-speed drivetrains, although the standard group comes as a 12-speed, compatible with Shimano HG freehub bodies.

The system's modularity extends to all components:

Rear Derailleur: Available with a medium cage (75 mm, for cassettes up to 46T) or a long cage (93 mm, for cassettes up to 52T). The derailleur body is made from aluminum and high-tenacity fiberglass-reinforced nylon.

Shifters: Dropbar (gravel) and flat bar (MTB) controls are available. The dropbar brake levers are made of carbon and are integrated with the shifters, while the MTB version does not include brakes, allowing riders to choose a third-party system.

Crankset: The group is compatible with Rotor cranksets, including options with the INspider power meter or the lightweight carbon Kapic cranks.

Cassette: Rotor’s 12-speed cassettes are available in a gravel version (11-46T, 294g) and an MTB version (11-52T, 314g).

Electronic System Technical Specifications

The rear derailleur is the core of the system, acting as the "brain" of the groupset.

Communication: The system operates via Bluetooth and ANT+.

Battery: The derailleur battery is fixed and rechargeable via a proprietary magnetic cable. The integrated 600 mAh battery has a claimed autonomy of 15,000 shifts per charge.

Shifters: Flat bar shifters use a CR2032 battery, while dropbar levers use a CR1632 battery in each lever.

Software: The system is managed via a dedicated app, which allows for customization and compatibility with other manufacturers' cassettes.

Waterproofing: The group has an IP67 waterproof rating.

Availability and Pricing

Official pricing has not yet been announced, but Rotor has stated that the group will be priced in a range from "mid-range to the highest." The system has been showcased for public testing at events, suggesting an upcoming market availability, although initial quantities may be limited.
