Eurobike Frankfurt 2025: Vredestein Unveils New 2026 Road and Gravel Bicycle Tires
Eurobike Frankfurt 2025: Vredestein Unveils New 2026 Road and Gravel Bicycle Tires
Apollo Tyres returns to Eurobike Frankfurt 2025 (June 25-29, Hall 12.1, Stand D26) to showcase an expanded range of premium Vredestein bicycle tires, featuring a new flagship road tire and extended gravel options for 2026.
Introducing Vredestein Superpasso Pro: Performance Road Tire
The Vredestein Superpasso Pro, unveiled to the public after its April launch, is the first in a new series of performance-focused road tires from the Dutch brand. Designed in Europe, the Superpasso Pro offers significant advancements in performance, durability, and functionality over its predecessor, catering to both competitive athletes and amateur cyclists.
This tire integrates cutting-edge "TriComp" and "Active Control" technologies to optimize speed, grip, and durability. Its advanced construction features a harder central compound paired with a reinforced "breaker" layer to reduce rolling resistance and enhance puncture protection. A softer compound on the shoulders improves cornering grip. The innovative "bridge" tread pattern replaces the traditional overlapping central seam, resulting in a lighter, faster, and more responsive tire.
The Superpasso Pro underwent rigorous testing by the BEAT Cycling Club, a UCI Continental professional cycling team based in the Netherlands, in both race and training conditions, to ensure compliance with professional cycling's stringent requirements.
The Vredestein Superpasso Pro is currently available in three sizes: 700x25C, 700x28C, and 700x32C, with both tubeless-ready (TLR) and inner tube options. Apollo Tyres plans to introduce additional Superpasso Pro variants later this year, including a four-season version designed for exceptional performance across diverse weather and road conditions.
Expanding the Gravel Tire Range
In response to the growing popularity of gravel riding in Europe, Apollo Tyres has added several 50mm (50-622) options to its comprehensive Aventura gravel tire range, providing enhanced comfort and high levels of traction and control. All Aventura products will be displayed at Eurobike.
Vredestein Aventura: Engineered for versatility across light gravel to rougher trails, it offers a balanced mix of speed and traction. Its tread features smaller knobs across the casing for consistent grip on uneven surfaces, while maintaining smooth rolling. This makes the tire suitable for a wide range of uses, from long gravel tours to casual off-road rides.
Aventura Seta: This is the fastest-rolling tire in the range, designed for riders seeking road-like efficiency without compromising security on light gravel and compact terrain. With a smooth, low-resistance central tread and a more aggressive shoulder pattern, it provides speed on straights and grip in corners, ideal for fast mixed-surface routes or gravel endurance races.
Aventura Grezzo: Developed for more challenging conditions and all-weather use. A robust and denser central tread helps reduce rolling resistance on compact terrain, while larger, more spaced-out shoulder knobs enhance grip on mud, sand, and hard-packed dirt.
All tires in the Aventura series are tubeless-ready and available in black/black and black/transparent variants. Available sizes include: Aventura 700x38C, 700x44C, 700x50C, and 650x50B; Aventura Seta 700x38C, 700x44C, and 700x50C; and Aventura Grezzo 700x44C, 700x50C, and 650x50B, catering to a wide array of gravel riding needs.
"The launch of the Superpasso Pro marks a significant step forward in our commitment to innovation in high-performance cycling," states Nic Knippers, Head of Two-Wheeler Tyres at Apollo Tyres Ltd. "Similarly, our expanded range of gravel products reflects our focus on meeting the evolving demands of cyclists worldwide."
"Eurobike provides a valuable opportunity to engage with the cycling community and gather feedback, enabling us to continue developing premium tires that push the boundaries of performance, durability, and versatility. The event also offers a platform to discuss early-stage concepts and share our vision for future products with potential OEM partners."
