In the year that marks its 140th anniversary, Bianchi is celebrating its founder, Edoardo Bianchi, with the Founder Edition, an exclusive collection of 85 Oltre RC and Specialissima RC models.
These two Reparto Corse models, characterized by two exclusive liveries and top-tier components, represent the pinnacle of innovation and the racing DNA that has always defined the brand. The limited number "85" is a nod to the year 1885, when Edoardo Bianchi opened his workshop in Milan, on Via Nirone 7, and began a story that would shape not only the world of cycling but also Italian industry and design.
The new Founder Edition collection was unveiled as a world premiere at the Italian Bike Festival in Misano Adriatico and will be on display for enthusiasts throughout the event, from September 5th to 7th, at stand C3.
Two Liveries, One Legend
The Founder Edition is enhanced by two color variants, hand-painted in Italy by Officina Bianchi, the brand's program dedicated to customization and special models.
Blue Italia reinterprets the color of the Royal House of Italy, with the intense Savoy blue enriched with Heritage Yellow logos and inserts. Edoardo Bianchi was an official supplier to the Royal House and introduced Queen Margherita to cycling; legend has it that her blue eyes inspired the iconic "celeste."
Celeste Spectrum, on the other hand, offers a futuristic and spectacular vision, with an iridescent intertwining of green-celeste, purple, and blue that continuously shifts, providing new effects with every glance. Logos and inserts are painted in Alabaster White.
Both color schemes are available for the Specialissima RC and Oltre RC models.
Symbols of Excellence
Each Founder Edition piece holds references to the brand's centuries-old history. The number 999 on the fork evokes Bianchi's historic Reparto Corse series, reserved for frames made for professional athletes and celebrities. The initial "B", a recurring graphic element on some special frames from the '60s and '70s, is integrated onto the forks and frame with an elegant matte finish over a glossy background. Each model is unique, numbered from 1 to 85.
