In 2023 the BH Coloma Team will be present at the Cape Epic and will do so with a team capable of achieving great results. David Valero, number one in the XCO world rankings, will be teamed up with Pablo Rodríguez to tackle the 8 days of racing at the South African event. Waiting for them there will be 658 km with 15,775 meters of elevation gain and the strongest XCM rivals in the world.

For such a special event, BH has prepared an equally special BH Lynx Race. The featherweight frame weighing just 1950 grams including shock and the advanced Split Pivot suspension system are essential for a bike that will have to tackle the dusty and stony terrain of South Africa. It can be configured with either 100 or 120mm of travel, and given the wear and tear this competition entails, both riders will be racing with the 120mm version mated to Fox 34 SC forks, also with 120mm of travel.

This BH Lynx Race has been enriched with a magnificent decoration in combination with the Gobik clothing, which will be worn exclusively for this great event. Colors and shapes that evoke South Africa, its wild landscapes and its fauna.

But that's not the only custom item. Gemini has created a decoration with the same line of colors and shapes of the frame and the very light integrated handlebar, the Gemini Pröpus, looks even more spectacular in this configuration.

Duke then enriched the magnificent design of the bicycle by personalizing the carbon rims for the occasion and thus completing a look that will not go unnoticed.

As for the equipment, Shimano will supply the complete Shimano XTR group. A guarantee of reliability in a race where mistakes cost dearly. Shimano XTR brakes and pedals, also Shimano XTR, complete the list of components of this group for setting up the BH Lynx Race.

The BikeYoke Divine SL telescopic seatpost could not be missing, one of the lightest on the market, known for its reliability. With its infinite adjustments, it can be lowered into several positions, ensuring comfort on the long stages of the Cape Epic.

Tires are another key element and Chaoyang will supply the best tyres. If all goes according to plan, the Cape Epic will be held on very dry terrain and with long pedaled sections. An ideal scenario for using Chaoyang Phantom Speed tires or, taking a more cautious approach, Chaoyang Phantom Dry.

With a pair of world-class cyclists and the best XCM showcase in the world, this BH Lynx Race is destined to be the protagonist of the world's most important bike-marathon event.
