BH presented the new BH Lynx 2023 2024 mtb.

Many news.

BH Lynx Race is synonymous with success. An Olympic medal, more than one podium in the XCO world cup, European Marathon titles... This bike integrates an exceptionally effective suspension system, which allows you to concentrate on riding with the awareness that the rear wheel will slide on the ground without the minimum waste of energy.

The new generation of the BH Lynx Race has been developed thanks to the close collaboration with the BH Coloma Team, evaluating every element necessary to conquer the victory in the most important world races, giving each cyclist the possibility to take advantage of the experience acquired in the field

Split Pivot rear suspension, the beating heart of the BH Lynx Race

Generation after generation, the BH Lynx Race has undergone several changes and improvements, but the Split Pivot suspension system remains the foundation of its character. If the previous version revolved around a suspension with 100 mm of travel with the predisposition for 120 mm, the new BH Lynx Race reverses the approach. The geometry and kinematics are designed for a 120 mm travel, but guarantee adequate operation even for those who choose the 100 mm option.

It's on the ground that the Split Pivot system makes all the difference allowing you to ride with the suspension fully open, without compromising pedaling in any way. This results in increased traction and full energy utilization. It also excels on descents without being interfered with by any braking force. For which greater grip and shorter braking, consequently, greater speed

Stiffness increased by 35% between the front triangle and the swingarm

The previous BH Lynx Race already stood out in terms of stiffness. So why not make it even better?

In figures, the connection between the front triangle and the swingarm is 35% stiffer, mainly thanks to the new configuration of the connecting rod axis, which combines with a toothed system. This innovation combines with the use of an oversized main pivot point, already effectively inserted in the previous BH Lynx Race version.

With such a sensitive and efficient system, the frame can concentrate on rigidity and precision of the trajectory, while the suspension will ensure optimal grip on any type of terrain. Furthermore, the increase in stiffness directly affects pedaling performance.

Maximum integration into the frame

It's obvious. The new BH Lynx Race features stylized, elegant and refined lines, never seen in the past. The merit is mainly due to the integration of the closure of the saddle in the frame, whose shapes, together with the new steering lines, enliven the character of the bicycle.

Even the aesthetics of the new connecting rod is cleaner, picking up on the linear heritage of the other BH models and transmitting the visual rigidity that is shaped on the ground. The frame gives continuity to the internal wiring system and maintains the steering lock to avoid collisions between the handlebar and the top tube. It is also designed to accommodate 2.4" tires.

The BH Lynx Race introduces another important novelty, the possibility of mounting two bottle cages: the first in the standard position along the diagonal tube; the second on the seatpost thanks to a small adapter that allows placement in the optimal position.

In addition to using the HCIM (Hollow Core Internal Moulding) procedure, developed by BH for the creation of racing models, the frame manufacturer has selected the E-CL (Evo Carbon Layup) carbon configuration with high modulus fibers, in order to achieve the perfect balance between mass and stiffness.

Evolution of geometry

Like other aspects of the BH Lynx Race, geometry is one of the model's historic strengths. Now it takes another step towards global improvement. The head tube has been lowered to compensate for the height required for cable entry. The head angle is slightly wider (67° in the 120mm travel version), while the seatpost is more vertical (76°). At 430 mm, the chainstays remain extremely compact, while the reach is increased in all sizes.

A new aesthetic for the BH Lynx Race

In addition to the technical innovations, the BH Lynx Race boasts new painted finishes with a spectacular character which, in different color combinations, leave visible portions of the carbon fiber frame. These details, already introduced for the BH Ultimate, become even more captivating with the new BH Lynx Race.

In addition to the 5 standard colours, it is possible to create a personalized design thanks to the BH Unique programme.

Gamma BH Lynx starts from around 2900 euros for the entry level version and reaches around 10 thousand euros for the

top range.
