If your Bosch e-bike displays a sudden error code out on the trail, your first course of action should be a Power Cycle: turn off the system, remove the battery (if removable) for 30 seconds, clean the wheel magnet, and turn it back on. In 70% of cases, the error resets.
As far as preventative maintenance goes, applying a thin coat of specific silicone grease behind the rear chainring lockring once a month is the best secret to keeping water away from those highly delicate internal bearings.
