2. Hydration and Electrolytes
On a climb, speed is reduced, meaning airflow for cooling the body decreases and sweat rates skyrocket.
Hypotonic vs. Isotonic: During maximum effort on a climb, it is better to sip a hypotonic drink (more diluted) to encourage rapid rehydration.
Sodium and Magnesium: Crucial for preventing cramps. Ensure your bottle contains at least 500-700 mg of sodium per liter if the temperature is high.
