Tour de France 2025 Bikes: Trek Madone SLR Gen8 Team Lidl-Trek - Review, Weight, Price, Features, Pros & Cons
The Lidl-Trek team rides Trek bicycles. From 2025, all athletes will be using the new Trek Madone SLR Gen8 2025.
This frame is very stiff, aerodynamic, and offers extremely high performance on flats and at high speeds, while also being lightweight and effective on climbs. The frame is a production model featuring the team's colors. Its estimated price is close to 20,000 euros.
The carbon fiber wheels are Bontrager, as are the rest of the components. The groupset is SRAM Red eTap AXS.
This is a very high-performance bike, not prioritizing comfort as much, but perfectly suited for professionals who generate high wattage and require a bike that is both light and stiff. They now have a complete road bike that is excellent for sprinters and flat races, but also performs well on climbs—a true 360-degree road bike.
As with all teams, great attention is paid to correctly positioning the athlete on the saddle to ensure biomechanically efficient pedaling. In this case, an aerodynamic riding position is also emphasized to further enhance the frame's characteristics. Equal attention is given to ensuring the smoothness of all moving parts: wheels, bottom bracket, and chain.
