The Pinarello DOGMA GR represents the new flagship model of the Italian brand in the gravel racing segment. The model is specifically developed for "fast gravel" events, including UCI-sanctioned races, where performance on mixed terrain is prioritized over the versatility typical of gravel touring bicycles.
DOGMA GR Frame Characteristics and Design
The design of the DOGMA GR frame blends proven aerodynamic and structural features from Pinarello's road and MTB models, including the DOGMA F, Crossista, and DOGMA XC. This approach results in a responsive platform capable of absorbing gravel vibrations without compromising power transmission.
Materials and Weight: The frame is constructed from Premium M40X Carbon, a material with a tensile modulus equivalent to that used in the DOGMA F. The claimed frame weight is 960 grams. A complete bicycle build with a SRAM XPLR groupset weighs 7.30 kg (16 lbs.).
Structural Details and Aerodynamics: The headtube features a tapered profile, optimized to reduce aerodynamic drag. The updated Onda GR fork includes a vibration-damping layup and an integrated, hidden thru-axle, along with a 5 mm rake.
