New Orbea Rise 2026 E-bike: Photos, Price, Weight, Specs, Everything You Need to Know
Orbea continues to perfect its "lightweight and capable" e-MTB concept with the new Orbea Rise, an e-bike that comes with significant updates while maintaining the agility and ride feel that made it famous. This model, which some specialized sites refer to as "model year 2025" or "2026," is based on a precise philosophy: natural assistance, total integration, and customization that make it perfect for every rider.
A Tailored Motor for the Trail
The beating heart of the Orbea Rise is the Shimano EP801-RS Gen2 MC motor. Orbea has worked closely with Shimano to develop specific firmware that adapts power delivery to the rider's needs. While capable of delivering 85 Nm of torque, this motor offers assistance management that prioritizes natural pedaling, avoiding the "full-power" effect that can sometimes feel intrusive. For riders who want more boost, it's possible to switch to an "RS Plus" mode that unlocks all available power, transforming the Rise into a lightweight enduro bike when needed.
The new RS Control System is a further evolution, integrating the motor, display, and dropper post into a single control. This approach simplifies the riding experience, reduces cockpit clutter, and makes managing the bike more intuitive.
The Range and Prices
Orbea has structured the Rise lineup to offer options with both aluminum (Hydro) and carbon (OMR) frames, and with different configurations to meet every need in terms of weight and range.
Here are some of the models and their approximate prices, keeping in mind that prices can vary based on the retailer and exact specifications:
Rise H30 (Aluminum): Equipped with the Shimano EP600 RS Gen2 motor and a 540 Wh battery, it's the entry-level option for those looking for a versatile and reliable e-MTB. Prices start at around €4,699.
Rise LT H20 (Aluminum): With increased travel (160 mm in the front) and a Shimano EP600 RS motor, this model is designed for riders who love more challenging descents. The price is around €5,599.
Rise LT M20 (Carbon): One of the most sought-after versions, with a carbon frame, Shimano EP801 RS motor, and a 630 Wh battery. It offers an excellent balance of lightness and performance, with prices starting at around €6,199.
Rise SL M-LTD (Carbon): The top-of-the-line model, extremely lightweight with a high-end build. This model also integrates the new RS Control System for a complete "all-in-one" experience. Prices for this configuration exceed €10,000.
It's important to note that Orbea offers battery options of 420 Wh, 540 Wh, and 630 Wh, in addition to a 252 Wh range extender, allowing the rider to customize the bike based on their specific needs for range and weight. The Rise continues to establish itself as a benchmark in the lightweight e-MTB segment, bridging the gap between muscle bikes and full-power e-bikes.
