Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 Test Review: Build Quality
The Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 boasts solid overall build quality. While its price point reflects the component spec, the frame itself is well-made, and a good range of sizes is available. It's a shame, however, that it's only offered in the color shown in the photos.
While not an absolute budget bike, the price-to-quality ratio is good; other bikes of comparable brand prestige and componentry often cost more. The price of approximately €4,799 is ultimately fair.
Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 Test Review: Frame
The Giant TCR 2024 frame remains an excellent product, well-crafted, with ample size availability and good overall build quality.
The frame weight is decent, even in this version without an integrated seatpost and not being the top-tier model. The weight-to-price ratio remains favorable, even though it comes in at 8.0 kg (17.6 lbs). This is competitive for this type of bike but not particularly light considering the price is close to €5,000. Competitors, with similar components, don't offer anything better.
Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 Test Review: Components
The Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 is assembled with the new Shimano 105 Di2 groupset. This is a quality assembly, not lightweight, but reliable and durable. The only drawback is the overall weight, but to improve on this, you'd need to spend significantly more.
Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 Test Review: Comfort
The Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 offers a high level of riding comfort. It's not a pure endurance bike, but it's not far off. In comparison, other TCR models are less comfortable. Therefore, long distances are easily feasible with good riding comfort. It's among the most comfortable road bikes, an excellent result.
Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 Test Review: Ride Feel
The Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 is no surprise; it's a honest, predictable, and safe road bike. It's excellent on descents, effective in braking, and overall, it's remarkably easy to ride.
On descents, it feels secure and easy to control, as it does on rough asphalt sections, where it even performs better than lighter models. It's less sensitive to crosswinds and very easy to ride on long, exposed straightaways. It's equally enjoyable to ride on winding roads.
This is a beautiful road bike with a well-tuned frame. With this build, it's perfect for the amateur rider who wants to ride safely and confidently.
Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 Test Review: Performance
The Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 is undoubtedly a competitive and excellent bike compared to similar competing bikes in terms of price and component type.
In absolute terms, the frame's stiffness is not lacking, but the weight slightly slows the bike on climbs. Overall, the performance is excellent on every type of terrain. It has no weak points, which is its strength, similar to other TCR models. It performs well on flats and rolling hills, but also excels on climbs and is excellent on descents. Its stiff frame satisfies even the most powerful athletes.
Compared to other TCR models, it lags slightly on climbs and partly on rolling terrain. On descents and flats, it can keep pace with much more expensive bikes. In its price range and with similar technical specifications, it has no major rivals. It's a very competitive road bike, reflecting the general characteristics of the Giant TCR range.
Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 Test Review: Pros and Cons
The Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Shimano 105 Di2 2025 has proven to be a competitive, versatile, comfortable, and good-performing road bike.
It's not a top-tier model and is slightly heavy in absolute terms, but it offers excellent value for money. It performs well and is competitive on every type of terrain; in its price range, it's among the best purchases you can make. This is its main strength.
As for the cons, there are few: the weight and the price, but both are due to market demands: electronic groupset, disc brakes, internal cable routing... everything cyclists want... Giant has delivered it at a good price; it's hard to do better.
It's a beautiful, competitive bike with a fair price, although it doesn't significantly deviate from the previous version; it's simply its natural evolution.
