The Cube Reaction C:62 Race 2025 is an excellent mountain bike for beginners, as well as for riders with some experience.
It is stable, easy to ride, very intuitive, and predictable. On pedaled sections, it handles effortlessly and securely; there are no issues to report. On climbs, it remains intuitive and capable, particularly on technically straightforward routes. The rigid frame stays responsive, but occasionally, on steeper ascents, one might wish for a slightly more stable front end. The fork performs well—it's slightly stiff and not the best in terms of smoothness, but it is appropriate for the bike's price. Braking performance is good.
On descents, a little more caution is required. The rigid frame can sometimes react quickly to impacts, necessitating a degree of experience and confident handling at high speeds on technical terrain. However, at moderate speeds, the Cube Reaction C:62 Race is very easy to manage.
In general, it is an intuitive and easy-to-ride bike. However, like all hardtail frames, it is highly reactive. Experienced riders can exploit this trait for greater speed, while less experienced riders might find themselves challenged. In that case, simply reducing speed slightly returns the bike to its very easy and secure handling characteristic.

Entry-level or mid-range bikes often have their performance underestimated, partly due to component packages that are not absolute top-tier.
In this specific case, the high stiffness and responsiveness of the frame must contend with a weight that is not supremely low in absolute terms. However, when compared to mountain bikes of similar or even slightly lighter weight, there is no contest: this frame offers absolutely competitive performance. The frame's rigidity is excellent, maintaining absolute stiffness that rivals much more expensive frames.
On flat terrain, the absolute performance is excellent. On climbs, the frame's weight is somewhat noticeable, while on descents, the limitations of a fork that is not market-leading become apparent. This is, of course, in comparison with bikes of significantly higher cost.
Conversely, the comparison with mountain bikes of a similar price point results in a decisive advantage for the Cube. At the same price, it is very difficult to find an MTB that is faster. This represents an excellent result.

The Cube Reaction C:62 Race 2025 proves to be a highly capable mountain bike with superb value for money.
Compared to many direct competitors, it boasts superior build quality and often better performance. In absolute terms, it holds its own very well, with the only drawback being its slightly elevated weight, which is felt on climbs. The frame itself is absolutely excellent; it would be interesting to see it paired with a top-tier component assembly.
The drawbacks? A limited sales network, few sizes available, and a narrow choice of frame colors. However, in all other respects, the Cube Reaction C:62 Race is genuinely impressive and offers outstanding value for its price.
