New Commencal Meta Power SX 800 E-Bike 2026: Price, Specs, Everything You (Really) Need to Know
Commencal Meta Power SX 800: More Power, More Travel for Your E-MTB
The new Commencal Meta Power SX 800 elevates the level of travel and power compared to the previous SX 400, offering you a full 10mm more suspension travel and a 200 Wh increase in battery capacity.
The frame has been appropriately reinforced to accommodate the larger battery, while maintaining a sleek design and retaining practical accessory mounts within the front triangle.
Key Specifications:
Drivetrain: SRAM Eagle 90 (mechanical)
Travel: 180mm front and rear
Wheels: 29″ front / 27.5″ rear (Mullet configuration)
Motor Torque: 100 Nm
Battery: 800 Wh
Range Extender: Optional 250 Wh (alternatively, a 750ml water bottle)
Frame: Full aluminum
Warranty: Lifetime
All of this is built around Commencal's renowned VCS (Virtual Contact System) suspension system, a multi-link design that ensures the rear wheel stays glued to the ground, guaranteeing exceptional comfort and control.
Motor and Range: The Boost of the Bosch CX Gen5
The Meta Power SX 800 is powered by the new BOSCH CX Gen5 motor, the most powerful currently available in the Bosch range. This motor delivers up to 100 Nm of torque and a maximum power of 750W, all while maintaining surprising quietness. Paired with a monstrous 800 Wh battery, Commencal suggests you could almost afford to use it in "turbo" mode for your entire ride. However, for long days in the mountains, they still recommend using Bosch's Range Assistant for added peace of mind.
The bike also integrates the new display with the Bosch KIOX 400C's navigation function (with audible alerts), making it extremely simple to stay on course and optimize the use of those precious watt-hours from the battery.
Models and Availability: Your Options
The Commencal Meta Power SX 800 is offered in two distinct builds:
A model with Fox suspension priced at €9,500.
A model with RockShox suspension priced at €8,500.
Both builds come equipped with the mechanical SRAM Eagle 90 drivetrain, meaning you'll only need to worry about charging the bike's battery, not the individual drivetrain components.
Furthermore, both models feature TRP brakes and DT Swiss wheels. They are already available for pre-order, with deliveries expected in November.
