Canyon has entered the lightweight eMTB market with the launch of the new Neuron:ONfly, the lightest electric mountain bike the brand has ever produced, with a claimed weight starting at 19.1kg.

The Neuron:ONfly is powered by the Bosch Performance Line SX motor, which offers a peak power of 600W and a torque of 55Nm. You can pair it with a 400Wh battery or extend its range by adding Bosch's 250Wh PowerMore (sold separately).

Canyon says the Neuron:ONfly offers the feel of a traditional unassisted mountain bike, but with the power of a fully electric mountain bike, combining, according to the brand, the best of both worlds.

Like the unassisted version and the full-power Neuron:ON, this new lightweight eMTB is designed to tackle the trails comprehensively, with suspension offering 140mm of travel, 29-inch wheels at both the front and rear and a progressive geometry.

The range includes four models, from the entry-level CF7 (£4,649 / €4,849 / $5,499) to the range-topping CF LTD (£7,649 / €7,999), available in five sizes from extra-small to extra-large.

Bosch's lightweight Performance Line SX e-bike motor is the centerpiece of the Neuron:ONfly, weighing around 2kg, delivering a maximum of 600W of assistance and 55Nm of torque.

The 400Wh CompactTube battery is integrated into the down tube of the frame. You can extend the battery life by adding the PowerMore 250Wh range extender, sold separately, for a total battery capacity of 650Wh.

The Bosch System Controller and Mini Remote control simplify functions to the minimum necessary, with different colors indicating the driving mode and battery charge status. You can also connect it to the eBike Flow app via Bluetooth to use smart features like eBike Lock and eBike Alarm.

All four models share a CF carbon frame, with 29-inch front and rear wheels and a design that doesn't support a mullet wheel setup.

The bike's geometry is designed for trail riding, with head and seat angles of 64.5 degrees and 76.5 degrees respectively. The frame is available in five sizes, with adaptations for smaller riders to fit the larger wheels.
