Hutchinson, a French tire manufacturer with over 130 years of innovation, is announcing the introduction of two new sizes for its flagship tires: the 45mm Caracal Race and the 35mm Challenger Tubeless. This expansion responds to growing cyclist demand for higher volume tires, which offer superior comfort, grip, and speed across various cycling disciplines, from gravel racing to road endurance. Caracal Race 45mm: The Fastest Gravel Tire, Now Wider
Considered the world's fastest gravel tire, according to independent tests by Bicycle Rolling Resistance, the Caracal Race is now available in a 45mm width. This new option provides even greater comfort, grip, and control on faster gravel courses.
Engineered for speed and optimized for wider internal rim widths, the Caracal Race 45mm retains Hutchinson's advanced SwiftEasy casing. This technology eliminates a casing layer at the center tread, improving flexibility and reducing rolling resistance by 40% compared to previous semi-slick designs.
The Mach Tread 3.0 compound, race-proven and originally developed for road cycling, remains central to the Caracal's performance. With 25% greater rebound and 10% higher tear resistance, this compound returns more energy to the rider and withstands the harsh demands of off-road competition.

Known for its unparalleled 10,000km lifespan and ultra-endurance credentials, the Challenger Tubeless is now available in a wider 35mm size. This dimension meets the needs of cyclists seeking enhanced comfort and control across more varied terrain.
Built around a supple 127 TPI casing and a fast-rolling Endurance Bi-Compound, the tire offers sure-footed grip in all conditions. However, it's the HARDSHIELD™ dual-layer protection that truly sets it apart, combining a wide polyamide belt and a targeted aramid layer at the contact patch.
