Eurobike 2025: The Best Road, MTB, and E-Bikes We Saw – Previewing 2026 Trends

Eurobike 2025 once again solidified its position as a global showcase for innovations in the cycling and e-mobility world. This year's edition, held in Frankfurt, highlighted a wave of products that not only push technological boundaries but also address the growing demands for sustainability, performance, and usability. Among the hundreds of models on display, some bicycles and e-bikes truly shone for their design, technical solutions, and futuristic vision.

Award-Winning Excellence: Eurobike Award 2025

The prestigious Eurobike Award recognized the most significant innovations, granting Gold Awards to those that stood out for their excellence. Various bicycle and e-bike categories saw models emerge that anticipate future trends.

1. Ampler Nova (Gold Award - E-Bike Category)

The Ampler Nova earned a Gold Award for an innovation that, while seemingly simple, revolutionizes the user experience: it's the world's first e-bike rechargeable via USB-C. This feature eliminates the need for a proprietary charger, integrating charging into the common ecosystem of personal electronic devices. The jury praised its clean aesthetics and compact design, which cleverly hides the electric technology, offering a smooth and intuitive riding experience, ideal for urban commuting and daily use. The integration of a universal charging system marks a step forward in simplifying and enhancing interoperability in the e-bike sector.

2. Eovolt Afternoon Pro (Gold Award - E-Bike Category)

Another Gold Award went to the Eovolt Afternoon Pro, a folding e-bike that impressed with its distinctive design and advanced functionalities. The jury appreciated its organic shapes and "ingenious and secure" folding mechanisms, making it extremely practical for transport and storage in small spaces. Beyond its aesthetics, the Afternoon Pro boasts notable technical features, such as an automatic gearbox, a Gates carbon belt drive (which eliminates the need for lubrication and reduces maintenance), and wide tires for superior comfort. This combination makes it a versatile and comfortable solution for urban mobility.

3. Puky Next (Gold Award - Bikes Category)

It wasn't just e-bikes; the traditional bicycle segment also saw significant innovations. The Puky 'Next', a balance bike, received a Gold Award for its "excellent design" and attention to detail that enhances the experience for young riders. This recognition underscores how research and development aren't limited to high-tech products but also extend to fundamental solutions for introducing cycling, promoting quality and safety from an early age.

4. Urtopia Titanium Zero eBike

Among the prominent new releases, the Urtopia Titanium Zero eBike garnered attention for its ambition to redefine lightness and integration standards in the e-bike segment. Constructed from titanium, a material known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and durability, this e-bike aims to offer a superior riding experience, combining electric assistance with the feel of a traditional bike. Its integration of electronic components was particularly appreciated, contributing to a clean and minimalist design.

5. Igus Gene

Innovation isn't just about performance; it's also about sustainability. The Igus Gene stood out as a clear example of this approach, being a bicycle made from recycled plastic derived from fishing nets. This project demonstrates how the industry is actively exploring new ways to reduce environmental impact, transforming waste into resources and promoting a circular economy. While it may not be the most performant bike in absolute terms, its value in demonstrating the feasibility of a sustainable production approach is immeasurable.

6. GT Force Carbon Pro Gen 2 and E-Force Current

In the mountain bike segment, GT Bicycles presented its Force Carbon Pro Gen 2, an updated enduro model. The bike was redesigned to improve pedaling efficiency, a crucial aspect for long climbs, while maintaining its inherent aggression and downhill capability. In parallel, the GT E-Force Current saw significant updates, adopting the latest Bosch or Shimano electric drive systems and integrated high-capacity batteries, addressing the growing demand for high-performance e-MTBs with extended range.

7. Bottecchia E-MTB Full XT 800 and E-Gravel FX Pro

The Italian brand Bottecchia also expanded its offering with notable new models. The E-MTB Full XT 800 and the E-Gravel FX Pro were introduced with fully integrated high-capacity batteries, marking a step forward in both the aesthetics and range of their products. These models reflect the maturation of the e-bike market, with increasing component integration that improves both visual appeal and overall performance.

Eurobike 2025 confirmed that the bicycle and e-bike sector is a dynamic ecosystem where innovation never stops, driven by the pursuit of performance, comfort, sustainability, and an improved user experience. The bikes seen this year are a clear indicator of the directions two-wheeled mobility will take in the coming years.
