Specialized presented the new Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8 2023 2024 in official form.

The frame has been completely revised, with a new carbon fiber, the same as that used on the Specialized Aethos, a new study of the aerodynamic shapes of the tubes, new headset, new integrated handlebar.

The geometries and sizes remain unchanged, always in the classic sizes of 44-49-52-54-56-58-61.

The bike is now about 16 seconds faster over a 40km ride.

Among the new features, the wider wheel arch now accommodates tires up to 32mm.

Equally important is the weight reduction, the frame now weighs 685 grams.

These are the weights of the new Specialized Tarmac SL8 in the various versions:

S-Works Di2 – 6.6kg
S-Works eTap – 6.8kg
Pro eTap – 7.4kg
Pro Di2 – 7.2kg
Expert eTap – 7.7kg

The weight-to-stiffness ratio has also improved by 33%.

The new integrated handlebar weighs 50 grams less than the previous one, is stiffer and more aerodynamic.

The fork is also new.

The new frame is only compatible with disc brakes and electronic groupsets.

It is not possible to mount a mechanical groupset and there is no rim-brake version.
