Specialized presented the new Specialized Roubaix SL8 2023 2024.

Our anticipations did not go unfulfilled.

As always, launched with the motto: the lightest, most comfortable, fastest endurance bike ever produced.

The frame has been renewed, lighter and weighs 828 grams.

Now it is also more rigid, saving around 4 watts of power at the same average speed (not communicated though).

Eight sizes available and seven different assemblies, with two different types of carbon.

New geometries, also to adapt to the new 40mm tire passage.

The S-Works version is the only one to use 12R carbon, the others use 10R.

The fork and the FutureShock shock absorbing system are new, reaching version 3.0, now compatible with 40mm tyres.

The new handlebar shock absorber fork system allows for 53% higher vibration absorption than the best competitor.

The RearShock rear shock absorbing system has also been improved and in this case too Specialized ensures top-of-the-category vibration absorption.

The new Future Shock 3.0 fork is available in three different versions.

The FutureShock 3.3 version is available on the S-Works and Pro models, allowing six levels of hydraulic adjustment

The FutureShock 3.2 version is available on the Expert and Comp, it does not allow adjustments and is set to the softest hydraulic adjustment that the 3.3 version allows.

The FutureShock 3.1 version is the simplest, adopted on the Sport 105, Apex and "base" versions, it does not allow adjustments and is composed only of the shock-absorbing spring, without hydraulics.

Three different springs are available to adapt to the fork.

The RearShock ensures 18mm of flex, but the saddle height remains almost unchanged, 1-2mm of difference, between the minimum and maximum flex of the seat post.

Improved aerodynamics, you can now save 11 seconds on a 100km route.

There are attachments for mudguards and bags, including an attachment on the horizontal tube.
