With Canyon's versatile Neuron trail and touring bike, mountain bikers are ready for the next adventure. For next year, Canyon presents four new carbon models with updated components: The Neuron CF 8 in the unisex and WMN version, the Neuron CF 9, and the Neuron CF 9 SL which reaches an incredible 12.9 kg in size. M.

Suspension travel on all four models is 140mm at the front and 130mm at the rear. In terms of the diameter of the wheels, the German engineers rely on the height of the rider and the size of the frame. This is what allows Canyon to achieve consistent handling and feel in all sizes.

To be precise, the smaller Neurons up to size S come with 27.5-inch wheels, while sizes M and up are only available with 29-inch wheels. And what would a modern full-suspension trail bike like the Neuron 2022 be without a dropper post?

The ability to lower the saddle on the go allows for greater freedom and better control on technical terrain. In terms of components, Canyon once again manages to offer exceptional value for money. The Neuron CF 8 and Neuron CF 8 WMN form the basis of carbon alloy models with high quality frames and flawless components, including FOX 34 Float Performance forks and FOX Float Performance DPS shocks, reliable Shimano SLX drivetrain 1x12 and the powerful SLX brakes - all at a price of only € 2,999 *.

The DT Swiss XM 1700 wheelset completes an impressive trail package, ready for the next big adventure. Next up is the Neuron CF 9. At € 3,999, this all-rounder trail bike offers several upgrades over the base model.

While the rear suspension uses FOX Float Performance DPS shock, the front features FOX 34 Float Performance Elite for even better traction and control. A complete Shimano XT groupset offers crisp 1x12 shifting precision and four-piston brake calipers for maximum stopping power on the trails. Lighter wheels improve acceleration and dynamic driving feel. The DT Swiss XMC 1700 carbon wheels with proven Schwalbe tires are a prime example.

Those who love the finer things in life should check out the Neuron CF 9 SL, pictured above, priced at € 4,799.

Its spec list seems to have been taken straight from a demanding mountain biker's wish list for a dream set-up: Outstanding FOX Factory suspension, SRAM GX AXS wireless shifter, reliable SRAM Code RSC brakes with 180mm rotors and sturdy wheels in DT Swiss XMC 1501 carbon.

The cockpit is made up of a Race Face Turbine stem and a Race Face Next carbon handlebar with a width of 740 or 760 mm depending on the size of the frame. The new Neuron CF models are perfect for adventurers and trail riders looking for a versatile bike that fits any trail, from quick after-work trail sessions to multi-day tours and mountain adventures - their great escape from the daily grind, whether it's just a quick breath of fresh air or a full-fledged trail expedition.
