Compared to what we anticipated, however, the evolution was very different.
Not a development of the Bianchi Specialissima, but a new frame, with the same geometries, but with a completely new tube profile.
A more aerodynamic frame, but just as light.
The new Bianchi Specialissima 2024 road bike weighs 6.8kg with pedals, bottle cage and Shimano Dura Ace di2 groupset.
The biggest difference is in the new head tube, which is more aerodynamic, like the top tube.
The fork, rear triangle and seat tube are also new.
There is no integrated handlebar, but we believe that an aerodynamic integrated handlebar will be adopted in the final version.
Cable routing is fully integrated, as in the past.
It cannot be ruled out that the new frame is only compatible with electronic groupsets.
The price would undergo the usual slight increase, between 500 and 1000 euros depending on the version.
So the top-of-the-range version with Shimano Duara Ace di2 could cost around 13,000 euros, while the frame kit around 6,000 euros.
At this point, the official presentation could arrive at the end of the year and availability at the beginning of 2024.
