The BH Ultralight 2026 stands out as one of the most admired bicycles in the peloton due to its balance of extreme lightness and modern aerodynamics. Although its name suggests a pure climber's pedigree, the 2026 model integrates solutions derived from its aero "sibling," the Aerolight, making it a truly versatile racing machine.

What’s New for 2026: Team and Colors

For the 2026 season, the team has refreshed its image. The big news is the dual livery: athletes can choose between a version with a white base (the major chromatic update of the year) and a "stealth" version with a black base. Both are accented with the classic purple and fuchsia tones typical of the Burgos province.

The team is led by experienced riders such as Jesús Herrada (joining from Cofidis) and Merhawi Kudus, who bring the BH Ultralight to compete in major events like the Vuelta a España and the top European Classics.

Technical Analysis 2026

The bike supplied to the team is technically identical to the one available to the public (Evo build), but with a specific setup tailored for UCI competitions.

Frame: Built using Hollow Core Internal Molding (HCIM) technology, the frame weighs in at approximately 750 grams. The "Air Bow" fork features a unique curved shape designed to eliminate air pressure zones around the wheel.

Groupset: Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 9200 12-speed. Providing maximum electronic precision for rapid shifting under load.

Vision/FSA Components: The highlight is the Vision Metron 5D integrated cockpit, which completely hides all cables. The cranks are FSA Powerbox Team Edition with an integrated power meter.

Wheels and Tires: The team relies on Vision Metron 45 SL wheels—a versatile mid-profile perfect for any terrain—fitted with Veloflex Corsa 28 tubeless tires.

Touchpoints: Saddles and handlebar tape are provided by Prologo (Scratch M5 or Dimension models).

Performance: Weight and Handling

The BH Ultralight 2026 is one of the few disc-brake bikes that successfully flirts with the UCI minimum weight of 6.8 kg (the "naked" black version actually drops to 6.7 kg without pedals).

On Climbs: This is its natural habitat. The bottom bracket stiffness allows for lightning-fast accelerations, making it one of the most reactive bikes on the Pro circuit.

On Descents: The updated geometry and Air Bow fork improve stability compared to models from a few years ago, providing great confidence in high-speed corners.

Aerodynamics: Thanks to the truncated airfoil tubing, it holds its own even in wind-swept flat sections.

2026 Pros and Cons

Pros:

Record Lightness: Among the lightest disc-brake frames ever produced.

Total Integration: Extremely clean aesthetics thanks to the Vision ACR system.

Value for Money: Despite being a pro-level bike, the price remains more competitive than several North American brands.

Cons:

Extreme Stiffness: The frame is very unforgiving; it requires well-trained legs to be fully exploited.

Complex Maintenance: The total cable integration in the Vision cockpit makes workshop adjustments quite laborious.

2026 Price

The top-of-the-line BH Ultralight Evo Dura-Ace used by the team has a list price of approximately €12,500. However, "Replica" versions exist (such as the Ultralight 6.0 with Shimano 105 Di2) that offer the same professional frame at much more accessible prices, ranging from €4,500 to €5,500.
