best branched chain amino acids PowerBar Amino Mega Liquid review opinions

These branched chain amino acids are very popular among many cyclists, even tested by us in the past with effectiveness.

Unfortunately they are in tablets and this, we warn, is a limit in a correct individual dosage, even if for most users it is an advantage because they are easier to take.

In this case it is recommended to take about 5 tablets a day, about 1 gram per tablet, basically like other competitors.

My advice is always to prefer powdered products, to be dosed precisely, as already mentioned.

Also in this case the nutritional values refer to the value of the 5 tablets and not per 100 grams.

If nothing else, here it is easier to calculate the exact quantity, or to make a comparison with another product to check, in the field, therefore in training, if there are advantages or disadvantages for one or the other product.

Average values per dose (5 tablets)

L-leucine 4.0 g

L-isoleucine 0.5 g

L-valine 0.5 g

Vitamin B1 1.4 mg (127% NRV)

Vitamin B6 2.0 mg (143% NRV)

In this case we see that a particular 8: 1: 1 formula is used between Valine (8 parts) -Leucine (1 part) -Isoleucine (1 part).

Vitamins B1 and B6 serve to facilitate absorption.

No other data are provided, however, and ultimately the description, even if complete in the fundamental elements, does not allow a real and effective comparison.

They are still very good, more than other competitors.

From our tests, however, we had not seen a tangible benefit from the 8: 1: 1 formula, but this may have been due to other factors and we hope to return to the subject in the future.

Overall a valid product, perhaps not very transparent on the label and perhaps not as effective as one might think.

We remain doubtful about its 8: 1: 1 breakdown.

We remain of the opinion that a powder product with a dosage formula of 2: 1: 1 parts typical of essential amino acids is still the top.
