LOOK 795 BLADE RS 3 2027: Weight, Price, Versions, and 15-Watt Gains
COMPREHENSIVE TECHNICAL REVIEW OF THE NEW LOOK BLADE RS 3 2027
The new 795 Blade RS 3 saves 15 watts, offers over 350 adjustment combinations, and comes with a lifetime warranty.

Already a two-time race winner, the new 795 Blade RS 3 saves 15 watts, offers over 350 adjustment combinations, and is handcrafted in France (Burgundy) with a lifetime warranty.
LOOK Cycle unveils the 795 Blade RS 3, the third generation of its elite racing platform. Developed and validated far beyond the wind tunnel, the new bike saves 15 watts compared to its predecessor. It sheds 160 grams from the frameset and offers over 350 adjustment combinations across six size-specific geometries. Every frame is painted, assembled, and quality-controlled by hand at the LOOK manufacturing facility in Burgundy, France, and is covered by a lifetime warranty.
The Truth is on the Road
Building on a winning legacy, the 795 Blade RS 3 was developed alongside professional athletes from Team Cofidis from the very first conceptual sketches. Its performance was proven long before its official debut. Ridden by Alex Aranburu, it secured a stage victory at the Itzulia Basque Country in April, followed by another significant success at the Baloise Belgium Tour in June.
The development of the 795 Blade RS 3 was driven by a single goal: performance that translates to the road. This third-generation platform is built on two fundamental engineering principles: prioritizing the essential connection between rider and bike, and ensuring every technical advancement is based on holistic, repeatable gains validated in real-world conditions. Drawing on decades of LOOK's aerodynamic expertise—including the recent development of the P24 track bike—the 795 Blade RS 3 was designed specifically to tame the turbulent, unstable air of real-world racing.
Romain Simon, Bike Category Leader at LOOK Cycle, stated: "Developing a bike with high technical promise and numerous marginal gains only has value if the bike adapts perfectly to the rider and provides the greatest sensations in the saddle. It is this conviction that shaped every choice made on the 795 Blade RS 3."
LOOK's development process relied on three key steps to guarantee tangible speed on the road. Engineers used advanced CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations to understand turbulent airflows, focusing particularly on high yaw angles. To ensure the new platform delivers performance in real, unpredictable environments, the bike was rigorously tested both on open roads and in the velodrome. Thanks to wind tunnel testing, LOOK identified aerodynamic improvements that remain effective across different body types, varying speeds, and different drafting positions. Tested with and without a rider, this exhaustive experimentation produced identical aerodynamic gains in both scenarios, with consistent gains completely undisturbed by rider-induced turbulence.
The result is a measurable advantage for every cyclist, positively impacting daily average speeds and training loads. At 50 km/h, the new bike saves 15 watts compared to the previous model. It maintains exceptional aerodynamic efficiency at wind angles from -15° to +15° and beyond, offering a consistent advantage with or without a rider.
Charles Philippe, R&D Manager at LOOK Cycle, noted: "Every new solution was tested with a real rider and adopted only when the gain was statistically solid—a consistent advantage beyond normal measurement uncertainty, not an isolated result. It’s a very high bar to clear, but it is the mission we set for ourselves: to make anyone who rides a 795 Blade RS 3 faster, every time."
Balanced Power Distribution and Ride Quality
Crafted for road excellence, the 795 Blade RS 3 uses an individually optimized frameset built on three pillars: real gains, cutting-edge ergonomics, and a unique riding experience. By strategically positioning every layer of carbon and every gram, the bike delivers:
Superior Power Transfer: Shaped for minimal drag, the front end and bottom bracket are up to 10% stiffer than the World Tour average to maximize reactivity.
Precise Handling: The fork and rear triangle feature purposefully flexible tubing, designed to maintain performance in turbulent air, absorb uneven surfaces, and improve cornering efficiency.
Rolling Efficiency: Generous 34 mm tire clearance accommodates wider tires and rims for optimal performance.
The 795 Blade RS 3 continues LOOK's long tradition: a ride rich in character and precision, blending pure racing DNA with over 40 years of pioneering experience in carbon fiber.
Because the rider accounts for 75% of aerodynamic resistance, a perfect position is essential for speed. LOOK developed the 795 Blade RS 3 by placing fit and component ergonomics at the center of overall performance. A true engine of the bike's aerodynamic performance, the new Aero Carbon RS 3 is the most innovative handlebar LOOK has ever created. Designed for three different race scenarios, it features a shape that helps the rider maintain an aerodynamic position longer, maximum stiffness in the drops for sprinting, and a calibrated sweep and flare to open the chest and promote breathing during climbs.
350 Ways to Go Faster
Available through the "Your LOOK à la Carte" configurator, the system unlocks over 350 adjustment combinations to ensure the perfect position for every rider.
Customizable Cockpit: Combine seven stem lengths (80 to 140 mm), three handlebar widths, and 0 to 50 mm of headset spacers.
Aeropost 5 Seatpost: Equipped with the new seatpost, available in two different offset options.
Universal Handling: Six sizes and dedicated geometries, paired with three fork offsets, ensure identical handling for riders from 155 cm to 200 cm (sizes XXS to XL).
The relationship between a rider and their bike is deeply personal, and no two riders are the same. The 795 Blade RS 3 honors this individuality with four distinct finishes: Pro Team Black (exposed carbon), Silver Red, Orange Shift / Black, and Iconic Prisme (a graphic livery highlighting LOOK's heritage colors).
At the top of the range is the Iconic Prisme Replica: an extremely limited edition of only 50 units worldwide, offered in the exact race configuration used by Team Cofidis at the Tour de France. Weighing 7.1 kg and equipped with a Campagnolo Super Record wireless groupset and Bora WTO 60 Ultra Team wheels, it sports the iconic red, yellow, and blue geometric graphics that have defined LOOK frames for four decades. One LOOK principle has never changed: you ride the same bike as the pros. The Replica embodies this principle in its purest form.
Federico Musi, CEO of LOOK Cycle, declared: "The 795 Blade RS 3 expresses what LOOK has stood for for forty years: racing innovation, handcrafted in Burgundy, and shared without compromise between professionals and every cyclist. We didn't design it to win a spec sheet comparison. We designed it to win on the road and to be the ultimate, long-lasting partner for our riders."
