The test

PowerBar Protein Plus bar presence some peculiarities. The weight of each bar, about 55 grams, is superior to competing products that typically offer about 40 grams, then we can see that there is an overall low caloric intake, due, no doubt, from the low-fat, about 6%, which is very small. Again if the break between the two training sessions had been longer the results would have been better, though already well above the classic sandwich. In general, therefore, the PowerBar Protein Plus bars were very effective, easy to assimilate and with a good protein intake. Being low in fat and with a modest calorie intake are perfect for those athletes who need a meal post-workout or race, low calorie, to better control the weight. In general in our test all athletes have had in the second part of the training performance of more than 5% compared to other protein bars and 10% compared to the classic sandwich. Important values, but we point out, can vary greatly depending on the version of the test and, although indicating the efficacy of the product in general, can not be taken as an absolute reference point. But the PowerBar Protein Plus bars have proved their unquestioned validity. PowerBar recommends them only as a post-race meal, but we saw their rapid assimilation and digestibility, we feel we can recommend it as a meal pre-race intake with at least one hour before the sporting event, if PowerBar also in the catalog are no other specific products such as pre-race food.
