The handling of the Madone SL7 is surgically precise but requires a steady hand.
On the flats: Stability is excellent, provided there is no crosswind. The large surface area of the tubes and high-profile wheels makes it sensitive to sudden gusts.
High speeds: This is where the bike shines. The aerodynamic advantage is palpable once you exceed 35-40 km/h.
Descending: Fast into corners and stable under braking. Compared to the SLR, the SL is slightly easier to manage on rough surfaces; the added weight and different carbon response make it feel less "twitchy" and more planted.
Technical sections: Requires decisiveness. It is not an intuitive bike for beginners, but it rewards those who can hold a clean line.
