The top ranked team in the United States will once again be riding on Wilier Triestina bicycles
Wilier Triestina is pleased to announce the continuation of their successful partnership with The United Healthcare Pro Cycling Team. As the number one ranked team in the United States for the second year in a row, the team provides valuable exposure and feedback for Wilier Triestina, as they continue to push the limits of cycling technology.
In 2016 the team will have a choice of the award winning Cento1AIR, or the new 2016 Cento1SR. The famed United Healthcare Blue Train rode the Cento1AIR to over 50 professional victories in criteriums around the United States in the last year, and they will be looking to continue their dominance in 2016.
Rejoining the United Healthcare Pro Cycling for her third season, Coryn Rivera is excited to be once again riding aboard the Cento1AIR, “We are lucky to be racing on the best equipment available. The Wilier Triestina bikes are fast and light, and it makes our pursuit of sprint wins that little bit easier.” Rivera, the most successful rider in the United States professional peloton last year, will be The United Healthcare Pro Cycling Team’s protected sprinter in 2016, and her teammates will also be riding the Cento1AIR.
The updated 2016 Cento1SR is the same bike that Kiel Reijnen rode to stage victories in the USA Pro Cycling Challenge and the Tour of Utah. With a redesigned seatpost for 2016, the bike will be easier to set up for the riders, and easier to maintain for the mechanics, while maintaining the stiffness and aerodynamics that has kept it at the front of the pack in 2015. The Cento1SR will be the bicycle of choice for the longer road races in the United States, suiting stage races such as The Amgen Tour of California and the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. Current USA Cycling National Champion Matthew Busche will be riding the Cento1SR as his bicycle of choice in 2016.
The United Healthcare Pro Cycling Team has been an invaluable resource in Wilier Triestina’s commitment to pushing the limits of racing technology. Wilier Triestina looks forward to a continued successful partnership in 2016.
