The Trek Superfly is a rational bike, well-assembled, with no particular technical solutions, but end up with a low weight and comparable to many carbon frames. Welcomes the adoption of the Shimano XT complete and valid DT Swiss wheels. Discrete components Bontrager. Good overall comfort, slightly penalized by an uncomfortable saddle and reduced ability of the frame to filter out vibrations. More than valid the Shimano XT, equally good performance of the DT Swiss wheels. The stiffness of the frame is valid for its category and good in absolute. The relatively low weight facilitates overall performance. Uphill the bike performs well even if the light steering requires some care to maintain the correct trajectory. The handling is high and allows the bike to be very fast on winding and narrow. At speed the steering precision is sufficient , it remains light and should be concentration and decision to keep the right direction. The 29er wheels make it easier to deal with technically difficult sections, even if, at times, high maneuverability may be excessive leading to inaccuracies driving if you are not always focused. Overall, despite the 29-inch wheels, is a bike no less intuitive and easy to handle compared to other competitors. It allows better performance on slow tracks, but in exchange for a greater commitment to driving in all conditions. Despite being an entry-level product substantially, requires some experience and driving skills to achieve competitive performance, a limit in certain situations. A good bike, offered at a fair price, about 2300 Euro, but with obvious limitations in order to be recommended indiscriminately to all cyclists. It requires, in fact, some driving experience and is well on slow tracks, in other cases it is not so competitive.

Our vote on your bike in the test: 8/10
