With the TSE, the 858 NSW Carbon Tubeless disc brake wheels feature a hookless and tubeless rim profile for seamless tire interface and significant weight reduction. The 858s offer the advantages of our high profile rim combined with a weight that is typically that of rims lower than 20mm. The internal rim groove, 23mm, is ideal for the use of wider tires, with lower pressures, for lower rolling resistance. Here's how TSE technology helps overcome the four speed obstacles: Wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration. The 858 NSW wheels are characterized by a wavy shape of the rim profile that varies from 82mm to 85mm. This design, patented by us and called Sawtooth, offers the best performance in terms of aerodynamic efficiency and stability in crosswinds. The 858 NSW have Zipp's Carbon Internal Reinforcement (CiR), which makes the rim 10 percent lighter with the same strength as previous versions. In addition, the wheel is custom design with a hookless and tubeless profile with a 23mm wide throat. Ideal size for using wider tires at lower pressures to decrease rolling resistance and increase cornering grip.
